Submission to the 2014 RET review - May 2014
September 2012: Meridian Energy Australia announced that construction of the 64-turbine Mount Mercer Wind Farm would commence in December 2012. Mount Mercer Wind Farm was designed and developed by WestWind Energy, with planning approval granted in 2007. Ownership of the project was transferred to Meridian in 2009. We are pleased that the project is now to be constructed, and that land owners, the local community and Mount Mercer Wind Farm employees and contractors can all look forward to the significant benefits that this wind farm will provide.
